Come and hear Dr Mona El-Farra speak at The Big Ride re-union dinner. A physician by training and one of Palestine’s greatest human rights and women’s rights activist in the occupied Gaza Strip, where she lives. Dr Mona is also the Vice President of the Red Crescent Society in the Gaza Strip.
Dr. Mona is known in Gaza as “the mother of the poor children” for her tireless work for the Red Crescent and the Middle East Children’s Alliance (MECA). She will share with us the painful stories of ongoing collective punishment by the Israeli military upon the civilian population, introduce us to her work in children’s psychological support programmes, in the aftermath of the latest Israeli aggression, and talk about her contribution to establishing a number of health and cultural centres, the most prominent of which is the al-Aouda Hospital.
As well as Dr Mona’s talk, your ticket also includes dinner and the opportunity to meet some of the cyclists who took part in the ride and hear first-hand their experiences along the route.
We look forward to seeing you!
